If you don't have anything nice to say...
This week really drug on, as all weeks seem to do so close to retreat. At least some of the girls had a plan to check out a new craft shop in Oromocto. It was fun, until we ran into someone that obvious never heard "If you don't have anything nice to say..." crossed our paths. Some of the girls were showing off their work to show the new shop owner what we were interested in when a lady from one of the 'registered' guilds entered, oye!! A friend of mine had her beautiful Mill Hill piece out and this 'lady' (I though the term lady was reserved to women with manners) proceeds to tell her that she should have backed it in fabric as she (and the disdain in her tone of voice made my blood boil) 'didn't weave her ends in nearly tight enough'. I don't think people realize that some people actually cross stitch for fun! I can't imagine having the gumption to be overly critical to any of my friends work, let alone a complete stranger!! And that's my rant for the day....
In the van I started a little Mill Hill kit myself, I have a stash of those for when I'm going on any car trip, Peter Rabbit was finished while I watched an A&E special on Terri Shiavo, I could write a whole other blog just on that story!! ;) Being Sunday and all maybe I should forgive and forget and get my keister in the shower or we're going to miss openning tip off at the boys bantam provincils in town, gotta go cheer my hometown against my transplant home town (old habits die hard).
